Virgo is the first fall sign of the year (or spring if you’re in the southern hemisphere). As an earth sign, Virgos, those born between August 23 and September 22, are typically grounded, thoughtful, and organized. They’re practical, kind, and loyal, and they take particular interest in animals, books, nature, and cleanliness (via Astrology Zodiac Signs). They’re ruled by the planet Mercury, the planet that governs communication, which makes sense given they’re organizational habits. Virgos know how to organize a conversation, keep communication clear, and get things done. This doesn’t mean they’re perfect, though, as they can still have negative traits, including being stubborn, uptight, and sometimes overly critical of others (Your Tango).
As our primary signs, our sun signs say a lot about us. They capture our very essence, and because of this they can also reflect our mental health as part of that essence.
Virgos can go from analytical to experiencing anxiety
Virgos are very conscious about everything they do, say, and put into the world, but this can also lead them to experiencing anxiety. They can get anxious when pushed by themselves or others, especially because they feel that they need to be perfect all the time (via Bustle). Because of this, it’s recommended that Virgos make peace with the fact that perfection is impossible. If they can realize this, they can spare themselves a lot of anxious moments.
Virgos can be very hard on themselves, but because of their good communication skills and connections to others, they also like to be wanted and needed by others (via BeMakeful). Getting involved with volunteer work or any sort of situation where they’re surrounded by others, feeling genuine connection, and feeling of use can quell a Virgo’s anxiety and bring back their inner peace. Their daily routine ultimately needs to have reminders of their worth and that they don’t have to be perfect built in so they can stay centered.
Obviously, this is not the ultimate advice on mental health, or even astrology, as one’s full chart needs to be considered — not just their sun sign. Still, it’s interesting to see if we can relate to what astrology says about us.
